I am planning my sister’s baby shower and would really like to find invitations that reflect her personal style. My sister & her husband both have locks and I would like their baby shower invitation to have a couple that looks like them. I’ve seen nice ones with black couples, but all of the mothers have straight hair. Short of using her/ their actual picture, does any one know where I can find invitations or images like this?

My sister-in-law is pregnant and is due in early October. We (my other sister-in-law and I) want to throw her a baby shower but neither one of us want to take on the financial obligation that comes with it. It might sound mean but we arent very close to her, but we still feel we should do something for her. We know that no one else in the family is planning to do anything for her because we have already asked. The point is, does anyone have any good ideas for throwing a nice inexpensive baby shower?? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Her family lives out of the country so they cant help… and well, she doesnt have many friends.

shugarmagnolia420 asked:

I wanted to start creating personalized Baby shower invites, thank-you’s and announcements and was wondering how much would you actually spend for those things.

When recently shopping for these items for my own baby on the way, I realized they are very expensive at the store. I love working with photoshop and just created my own for a lot less and everyone was very impressed and said I could sell them.

I am trying to figure out if the amount people would pay for them would actually be more than the amount I would have to spend on paper, ink and envelopes.

Thanks for any insight! :) Oh I forgot, I was thinking about selling them in packages of 20 and 40. (20 of each item)

Its easy with a bridal shower - the maid of honor is in charge of planning everything. But who’s supposed to plan a baby shower? My sister is pregnant, and I don’t know if this is something that I’M supposed to be doing!

Mary asked:

My Mom is currently planning a Baby Shower for my Husband and I. We have 36 guests that are being invited and the shower will be held in our home. It will be a somewhat tight fit, if everyone shows up and if anyone brings their children. It’s been suggested that we have two seperate parties. One on Saturday with my family and one on Sunday with his. I’d rather have everyone together, but I realize how small our home is. What are the chances that everyone will show up anyway?
Yes, we’ve all heard of RSVP, however some people aren’t very polite and don’t do this.

We don’t want to rent a place, that’s money that could be used towards our guests(food, etc.) or our new baby.

I’m not looking for rude answers, so please think about your response.
